Sunny Side Up Sandwich Bar and Cafe on Liverpool Road in Eccles fits neatly into the rhythm of local mornings and quick lunches. This spot has the feel of a traditional neighborhood cafe where the familiarity isn’t just in the food but also in the way the staff interact with regulars.

Early risers and those popping in for a swift breakfast just before starting their day appreciate the straightforward, hearty offerings here. The cafe’s vibe is warmly casual — nothing too fancy, but clean and welcoming. It’s clear this place serves people who want a no-fuss, reliable breakfast, paired with a hot brew strong enough to cut through the chill Manchester can bring, especially on busy mornings.

Local tradespeople, commuters, and those running errands nearby seem to be the core crowd. The cafe’s proximity to surrounding local businesses makes it a convenient stop, especially for people needing a quick bite before appointments or work. The friendly staff respond easily to personalized requests, whether that’s adjusting breakfast orders or just engaging in a bit of morning chat — there’s a real sense of familiarity and low-key community here.

Because space is cozy, it can get busy and the door opening at rush hours sends a cold draft inside, but a large cup of tea or coffee and a generous breakfast serve as a good defense against the weather. It’s the kind of place where you might find yourself settling into the radio station playing familiar tunes, which adds to the comforting, everyday atmosphere.

Lunch visitors often drop by after nearby errands, appreciating the fresh, straightforward food that feels like a step away from typical takeaway. This is not a cafe for long lounging but a practical, friendly stop where regulars and local workers find a steady rhythm. Mid-mornings through early afternoon are probably when the place hums with the most local life, balancing a steady flow without becoming overwhelming.

All told, Sunny Side Up offers a dependable cafe experience for those who value friendly service, consistent comfort food, and a setting that reflects the working day of Eccles locals.

Lovely breakfast, just had to sit on the other side of the door. Every time it opened because it was busy it went cold. Nice hot brew and large breaky kept the chill away, will be back when working in the area 5⭐

Popped in for some lunch while I was waiting for Springfield house chemist to open . As I always forget they close 1-2pm ! So I was thinking what to do for 30 mins . Well what a hidden little gem . I think I’ll make it my new routine now. When I’m collecting my prescriptions after work I’ll pop in for lunch . As it was a delightful experience. Food was fresh & delicious. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. Support your local businesses. Service with a smile

Friendly women working here, happy to make changes to my breakfast as requested, and no judgement given for how many sugars I have in my brew wasn't very busy as it was near closing time on a Sunday but the lady seemed to have a good relationship with the other customers who seemed fairly regular.

First time at the sunnyside up cafe. And it was a great experience. Staff was lovely and helpful. Im on a wheelchair too and they helped me amazingly. Reasonable prices. I got the small full English breakfast which come with tea or coffee. Delicious food - could of have some more beans for the price but other than that. Amazing
